おぼえがき

　カネコアヤノのUKツアー初日公演が10月6日にロンドンのDream Bags Jaguar Shoesで行われた。フリーライブとなったこの日の会場には、キャパ満員以上の人が押し寄せた。日本人の姿はもちろん、ライブ前にレコードを購入する現地ファンの姿もあり、日本を飛び出してカネコアヤノの音楽が届いているのを目の当たりにした。

　ステージとオーディエンスのフロアに高低差はない。時間になると会場の後ろスペースにいたメンバーが客の間を通ってステージに向かう。飯塚拓野（Ba）、林宏敏（Gt）、Hikari Sakashita（Dr）、カネコアヤノ（Gt／Vo）が「タオルケットは穏やかな」のイントロから林のギターを筆頭に激しいサウンドをかき鳴らし、バンドセットでのライブが始まった。

　この日、はじめにカネコが握っていたのは白のジャズマスター。筆者がカネコアヤノのライブを観たのは、りんご音楽祭2019の1日目のトリを務めたステージ以来だった。およそ4年ぶりに聞いた生の歌は、歌い始めから一気に心臓を突いてくる。それぞれの楽器の音色がこんなに強く奏でられているのに、完全にカネコ自身の歌と歌詞の力強さに持っていかれた。

　「季節の果物」「爛漫」「さよーならあなた」に続き、カネコのギターとドラムのリズム打ちだけの落ち着いた音色ではじまったのは「もしも」。この日の海外ファンにカネコアヤノの音楽はどう届いていたのだろう？　余談だが、日本を出てから日本語を学ぶ外国人に会うと皆、「日本語は一番美しい言語だ」と言ってくれる。カネコアヤノの歌詞をどう受けとり、感じているのか、とても興味が湧いた。

　ライブの途中、カネコのギターの弦が切れてしまうアクシデントが起こるも、Sakashitaのソロドラムパフォーマンスで繋ぎ、会場が湧く。オーディエンスの後ろから現れた救世主がカネコに自分のギターを手渡した。対バン相手のDouble Creamのギターボーカルだ。

　音楽を繋いだ赤のSGをカネコはかき鳴らし、最後は「わたしたちへ」をめいいっぱいに奏でる。カネコは「AYANO KANEKO from Japan! Thank you!」と挨拶で締めくくり、歓声と拍手が送られた。

　当初発表されていた公演スケジュールは、気がつくとどんどん増えていった。この日を合わせてバンドセットで2公演、ソロ、トリオセットのライブも予定されている。現地のラジオ系イベント（？）でも歌うというアナウンスも。カネコアヤノの魂がロンドンに響き渡る一週間がスタートした。

　Rock music that Japanese language resonates most deeply is currently running around London.The first day of KANEKO AYANO UK tour was held on October 6th as a free live show at Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes.There were more people than I expected and I couldn't move inside the venue. I was surprised and happy to see local fans buying records.I said to them “You have good ears (you have good eyes)”and we hugged, in my heart of course.

　This section of the day focuses on the album which was released in 2023.The live show opened with "タオルケットは穏やかな," which stood out for its expressive guitar tone.Why does Aayano's singing voice resonate so directly in my heart? You should experience it here as well, which is completely different from listening to it through earphones.

　There was a happening that a string broke during the performance, but there was a wonderful sight there.The audience never quieted down, because Hikari Sakashita was on a roll with his solo drum performance. Then, Double Cream's vocalist appeared from the back of the audience and handed Ayano his guitar.

　Ayano switched from a white Jazzmaster to a red Solid Guitar and played "わたしたちへ" at the end.

　On this day, there will be one more live performance with a band set, as well as solo and trio set live performances. A week has already begun where KANEKO AYANO's spirit resonates in London. Experience the power, beauty and delicacy of authentic Japanese rock.
